SOFTWARE DEVELOPER BASED IN VIENNA, FROM CATALUNYA.

I'm Kevin Costes Cartes — a software developer specialised in XSLT / XSL-FO document engineering, with a full-stack background. Graduate in Digital Interaction Techniques & Computing at Universitat de Lleida (EPS).

I build with Laravel and Django, design REST APIs, manage databases and automate business processes — from ERP integrations to print-ready document pipelines.

Lately I lean hard on AI as part of how I work and build — using it to prototype faster, automate the tedious parts and explore creative coding I couldn't reach alone. It's the tool I'm most curious about right now.

PROJECTS

  • GameSave platform

A web platform where users buy servers for video games that are deployed automatically, integrating a custom cryptocurrency — so you pay only for the resources you need. Built around containerisation and an Ethereum testnet for ownership and payments.

  • Proiectus.cat platform

A social-network platform, built with the municipality, that brought companies and students together: companies posted real project requests (like building websites) and schools and students delivered them — hands-on experience for students, affordable delivery for companies. A Java desktop app gave admins an interface to manage the database and coordinate everything.

WHAT RUNS
IN MY BLOOD.

The things that pull me away from the screen — and quietly shape everything I build.

01 Artificial Intelligence

The tool I can't put down

What began as curiosity is now part of how I think. I use it to prototype at speed, automate the boring eighty percent, and chase ideas in creative coding I couldn't reach alone — a second pair of hands that never sleeps.

02 Cars

Engineering you can hear

I'm drawn to the geometry of a wheel, the line of a body panel, the obsession with shaving off weight. Half aesthetics, half mechanics — and the reason a rim is hiding inside the hero.

03 Basketball

Where the screen switches off

The rhythm, the footwork, the argument over a call. It's the reset button that keeps everything else sharp.

04 Music

A constant backing track

The genre swings from one extreme to the other depending on what I'm building, but it's never silent. The volume is the only thing that stays put.
